The manager of the 21 -st century will be successful in the field of international business only if he learns how to deal with the cultural differences. To be proficient in one's professional field is not sufficient. To coordinate the activities of individuals of varying cultures has become increasingly important. Practically this means that one should be able to deal with many cultures. The transition from a single culture (monoculturalism) to policulturalism has become a must for all Bulgarian managers. It is not a future but a present-day objective. Its achievement includes studying the specific features of human cultures and the aspects of practical interaction. The paper reviews some of these aspects.
