CHANGES IMPOSED BY DIGITIZATION IN INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION

This article is aimed at examining the changes, imposed over time, in interpersonal communication at the personal and professional (informal) level as a result of the development of digital technologies. Given that digital communication platforms have become an important part of almost everyone's daily life, information about the general situation of modern developed society is presented. Changes in the communication channels used, included in the development, refer to social movements and activist networks, interest-oriented digital communities and digital "friendships". Topics related to the opportunities that specific technologies provide to business organizations are touched upon. Results of a study related to the popularity and attitudes towards digital devices for interpersonal communication are presented. The evolution of the technology will continue to be a cause for change as the development of, and currently available, wireless devices provides new opportunities for fast, efficient and reliable connectivity across a large number of devices.
