Determining the Candidates' rating when selecting them in organizations

The article is devoted to an up-to-date human resource management problem of assessing candidates for vacant positions in an organization. The article proposes and approbates an unconventional algorithm for evaluating candidates for vacancies using the pairwise comparison method and calculation using confidence intervals. The article was developed in four parts. The emphasis of the article is on the practical direction of the proposed algorithm. According to the authors, the main advantages of the algorithm are the combination of non-traditional and classical tools, the simplicity and the possibilities for its application in all types of organizations. In the authors' view, the application of the algorithm operationalises the evaluation procedure for candidates for vacant positions and in this sense contributes to the enhancement of the quality of management and the competitiveness of the organizations.
